-
Review and refine
Check the Google snippet preview for text truncation by pixel limits. Adjust Title and Description length for better CTR in search results.
Why use snippet preview?
The visual snippet simulator helps you perfect meta tags and increase clicks from search.
-
Higher click-through rate (CTR)
Ensure your title and description are not cut off and attract attention. A proper Google snippet preview helps increase clicks from search.
-
Pixel-accurate limits
Google limits meta tags by pixel width, not character count. Wide and narrow characters take different space — the search result simulator accounts for this.
-
Save time
Checking Title and Description before publishing avoids extra edits after deploy. The visual snippet simulator gives instant feedback.

Search snippets and SEO
A search snippet is the block in search results: clickable title (often from the Title tag), URL, and short description (often from meta description). How your site looks in search greatly affects whether users click.
Meta tag length in pixels matters: the same line fits different numbers of characters depending on font and character width (e.g. "W" is wider than "i"). Checking Title and Description in pixels gives an accurate Google snippet preview.
A good snippet does not guarantee rank but affects click-through and traffic. Higher CTR in results at the same position brings more visits. The SERP generator and visual snippet simulator help refine meta tags.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the optimal Title and Description length in 2024–2026?
- Google uses pixel width, not a fixed character count. Rough guidelines: Title — about 50–60 characters or up to ~600 px on desktop; Description — about 150–160 characters or up to ~990 px. Limits are lower on mobile. Our SERP simulator shows pixel length and warns when text is cut off.
- What is the difference between character and pixel limits?
- Character limits (e.g. "up to 60 characters") are a simplified rule: different letters have different widths (W vs i, Cyrillic vs Latin). Google truncates title and description when max pixel width is reached. So meta tag length in pixels is the accurate criterion; the visual snippet simulator helps check real display.
- Does Google guarantee showing my Description?
- No. Google may generate a description from page content if it finds it more relevant to the query. The meta description is a suggestion. Our Google snippet preview shows your version; in real results the algorithm may use a different fragment.
- Is my entered data stored on your server?
- No. Title and Description checking runs entirely in your browser. Data is not sent to the server or stored anywhere. Your privacy is respected.
- How do mobile and desktop search results differ?
- On mobile, screen width is smaller, so the same line is cut off earlier — pixel limits are lower. Fonts and spacing may also differ. Our SERP generator lets you switch Desktop and Mobile views to see how your site looks in search on both.
